OMG! Where has the past Year and a Half Gone!

Anne Land, "A Haven", created for Anne Lasko

My friend and fellow painter, Mark Malone, reminded me yesterday that I need to be blogging!
Well, no excuses here, just so many projects, I didn't take the time to let everyone know what the heck I was doing.
A year ago, June 1st, I contracted to do a very large City of Dallas Project, which I just completed.
Not really allowed to share the work until the project is public, I have been unable to share any of it, except to very close, personal friends. Maybe in December?
Still, no excuse. A large bat mitzvah that took a year of planning happened in March; an extensive project for Lamplighter School, lots of commissioned pet portraits and house portraits, individual drawings for Junius Heights Home Tour, shows too numerous to name and lots of painting in between. Whew, still no excuse.
Hopefully, I will get back to this rewarding piece of the journey.

Study in Light and Shadow

I thought Los Alamos was dry and baron!  Much to my surprise on our drive through the Mountains of New Mexico, we came upon this beautiful forest with lots of contrasting greens. As the "Queen of Green" , I found this to be  a perfect example!

Fields of Bluebonnets

This is a continuation of the spectacular visit to "Bluebonnet" country. Those fields of wildflowers were just breathtaking!

Okay, I've got to begin to get serious about this blogging!  This is a 6 x 8 painting and is of some of the spectacular, yellow wildflowers along the road in South Texas.  Karen Rike and I kept looking for yellow among the bluebonnets and we found them!

Aspens to Heaven

As Gail, Kathleen, Richard and I continued our walk on that bright Sunday morning in the glorious surroundings of Angel Fire, we came upon these giant Aspens and I knew when I stood beneath looking up to heaven that it would soon be put on canvas for all to enjoy!
